    This modular course provides the basic knowledge and understanding of fire detection and fire alarm systems.  It enables delegates to progress to either the design, installation, maintenance or commissioning modules for compliance to BS 5839-1:2017

    WHO SHOULD ATTEND 

    This course is aimed at contractors and individuals looking to gain a basic understanding of the requirements of BS 5839-1:2017 and is required prior to progression on to one of the additional fire modules.

    LEARNING OUTCOMES

    The course will provide a general understanding of how to ensure fire detection and fire alarm systems comply with BS 5839-1:2017.

    Delegates will gain an understanding of design, installation, servicing and commissioning activities and will also be shown how to complete the relevant certificates. 

    Completion of this module will allow the delegate if successful in the assessment to obtain a CPD accredited certificate.
