The 6-hour CPD workshop has been created to provide a full overview of the latest revision to BS 7671:2018 ‘Requirements for Electrical Installations - IET Wiring Regulations Eighteenth Edition’ brought about by the release of Amendment 2:2022. It is aimed at those who are required to have a good working knowledge of the latest version of this core industry standard, by updating and building on previous understanding of this topic.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This workshop is suitable for those who design, install, commission or maintain low-voltage electrical installations and who need to better understand the impact and implications of Amendment 2:2022. Whilst the workshop is primarily aimed at experienced electricians, it will also be of benefit to those with an existing understanding of BS 7671:2018 including allied trades as well as trade related professionals such as contract managers, installation designers, consultants, specifiers and surveyors.

Although there are no formal entry requirements, delegates will gain most from this CPD workshop if they already have a good understanding of BS 7671:2018.  It is expected that candidates have experience of electrical installation work and a good understanding of electrical science and principles.

IET Wiring Regulations, Eighteenth Edition Amendment 2 (BS7671:2018+A2:2022)

The IET Wiring Regulations is the national standard to which all domestic and industrial wiring must conform. It is essential to all those concerned with the design, installation and maintenance of electric wiring in buildings. The 18th Edition is a major update to this title and contains extensive changes to many areas of BS 7671. The 18th Edition has been further updated to include two subsequent amendments as BS 7671:2018+A2:2022.

NICEIC Site Guide for Electrical Installations up to 100 A  (BS7671:2018+A2:2022)

This NICEIC Guide is intended for contractors who carry out electrical installation work in dwellings, including houses and flats.

It provides information and guidance relating to the design, construction, inspection, testing and certification of domestic electrical installation work, and is intended to promote good practice and aid understanding of the fundamental concepts of protection for safety.

The guidance is based on the requirements of BS 7671: 2018+A2:2022 Requirements for Electrical Installations, and references to Regulation numbers are to those contained in that Standard.
