The 3 day course has been completely revised to align with the requirements of BS 7671:2018‘ Requirements for Electrical Installations - IET Wiring Regulations Eighteenth Edition’ including the changes brought about by the release of Amendment 2:2022. It is aimed at those who are required to have a good working knowledge of the latest version of this core industry standard.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is particularly appropriate for those who design, install, commission or maintain low-voltage electrical installations. Whilst the course is primarily aimed at experienced electricians, it will also be of benefit to allied trades as well as trade related professionals including contract managers, installation designers, consultants, specifiers and surveyors.

Although there are no formal entry requirements it is expected that candidates have  experience of electrical installation work and a good understanding of electrical science and principles.

EXAM 

This course includes 1 attempt at the City & Guilds 2 hour examination. Please ensure you have photographic ID and a copy of BS 7671:2018 including Amendment 2 available to you.  Failure to do so will prevent you from sitting this exam.

IET Wiring Regulations, Eighteenth Edition Amendment 2 (BS7671:2018+A2:2022)

The IET Wiring Regulations is the national standard to which all domestic and industrial wiring must conform. It is essential to all those concerned with the design, installation and maintenance of electric wiring in buildings. The 18th Edition is a major update to this title and contains extensive changes to many areas of BS 7671. The 18th Edition has been further updated to include two subsequent amendments as BS 7671:2018+A2:2022.
