This qualification focuses on fire detection and alarm systems within Grades D – F, but will also cover Grades A and C. It will introduce the various key legislation and regulations that apply to the design, installation and commissioning, certification and maintenance of fire detection and fire alarm systems in dwellings, as detailed in BS 5839-6.

Who should attend?

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however those attending should be familiar with electrical systems. This qualification is aimed at electricians and other building service engineering professionals who wish to gain an understanding of fire detection and alarm systems in dwellings.
